    About This Role:

    The Sales Manager leads a team of eight to 10 Sales Account Managers focused on creating and managing strong relationships, driving engagement, and pursuing growth within a portfolio of Forrester’s Technology Industry accounts.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage, lead, mentor, and train a team of account managers
    • Coach and motivate individual team members, providing real-time feedback on sales calls, client interactions, and one-on-one meetings.
    • Develop team members for current and future growth opportunities.
    • Take a disciplined approach to process and operations, through high levels of observation, inspection, and analytics, to drive predictability in forecasting and accountability in activity.
    • Works across team to develop strong pipelines consistent with overall Forrester sales processes, and, specific account strategies.
    • Coaches team on name development and social selling techniques.
    • Utilize Forrester’s sales process, standardized solutions, and sales enablement technologies to maximize productivity.
    • Act as a role model and leader within the sales organization. Promote a "can do" culture and positive environment, advise reps on accounts, answer questions, and provide assistance when necessary.
    • Meet overall renewal and enrichment goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
    • Maintain full fluency in Forrester’s core suite of products and services, as well as how they are sold, to deliver value in the marketplace.
    • Closely partner with marketing and technology departments on innovative social selling to maximize team’s effectiveness.

    Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree.
    • At least five years of sales experience, with a minimum of two years of first-line sales management experience, achieving revenue goals and managing social selling strategies.  Experience selling or managing the sale of intangible products is a plus.
    • Proven experience managing and coaching to metrics and KPIs.
    • A strong track record of sales management in both sales target attainment and people/team development.
    • Strong, high-level relationship skills; the ability to thrive in a team environment as well as interact with peers and an internal ecosystem.
    • Exceptional attention to detail. Strong discipline in terms of process and operations.
    • Experience providing guidance and feedback to build a high-performance culture.
    • The ability to absorb and grasp new concepts quickly (such as rapid advancements in the business technology industry).
