    About This Role:

    The Senior Consultant scopes and delivers research-based consulting projects based on our published CIO; application development and delivery (AD&D); and enterprise architecture, data, business intelligence (BI), and content research. 

    The ideal candidate has direct experience supporting application delivery and architecture teams, with experience working across the project life cycle from inception to execution.


    Specific experience in areas such as COTS implementations, modern application delivery methodologies such as Agile or DevOps, testing, data management, big data and analytics, mobile, or digital experience architectures is desirable.  


    This candidate has experience helping firms define strategies, organisational models, reference architectures, and technology road maps supporting sales, marketing, and customer service initiatives. He or she will leverage this experience to design, promote, and deliver consulting projects that leverage our research on defining future states, building a business case, conducting a maturity assessment, and defining a road map.


    Senior Consultants have three major responsibilities: 

    1. create high-quality research-based consulting deliverables, such as business cases, maturity assessments, strategic road maps, vendor selections, or performance metrics reviews; 
    2. partner with other consultants or research analysts to develop repeatable consulting offerings based on our published methodologies. 
    3. partner with our sales reps and business development directors to promote our research-based consulting capabilities with prospects and clients.


    • Achieve personal revenue targets on a quarterly basis by delivering research-based consulting projects, including conducting intake interviews and analysing client data using a published methodology to evaluate client inputs, synthesising conclusions, and developing recommendations.
    • Develop high-quality, well-structured, and user-friendly Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel client deliverables.
    • Present or co-present findings and recommendations to clients.
    • Partner with sales reps and business development directors to identify prospects for these consulting offerings based on analysis of clients and prospects who attend Forrester events and workshops, request analyst inquiries, or read AD&D research reports.
    • Establish and manage client expectations on timelines and deliverables, ensuring adherence to project commitments.
    • Identify opportunities for new research streams based on feedback from clients and trends in our engagements with clients.
    • Develop sample deliverables and associated marketing materials for repeatable consulting offerings based on our published research.
    • Conduct promotional workshops at Forrester events.
    • Develop specialised expertise in selected customer experience domains, ranging from strategy and transformation to customer insights and metrics to experience design and solution development.


    • A strong academic record of achievement;
    • A combined minimum of six to eight years of management consulting experience and experience in support of software and application delivery efforts supporting marketing, sales, and customer service business objectives.
    • Experience with designing and delivering technology solutions, preferably in the areas that support an organisation’s interactions with its customers. (e.g., BI, analytics, marketing technology, customer service and support, etc.).
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve key performance metrics such as utilisation rates or revenue targets.
    • Ability and desire to work on multiple strategy projects concurrently — balancing the needs of each to achieve superior client satisfaction.
    • Experience preparing deliverables for clients, owning and delivering the finished product, and taking the outputs of workshops and creating client-facing deliverables for delivery to C-level business executives.
    • Formal project management experience or training — or equivalent project management know-how gleaned from many, many engagements and lessons learned.
    • Excellent verbal, writing, and presentation skills.
    • Strong client-facing skills.
    • Strong analytical capabilities.
    • Experience working with subject matter experts with deep content knowledge.
    • Must have a business level fluency in German and English minimum.
    • The ability to travel (~10 days per month).
