 About This Role:


As part of Forrester’s continued success and growth, Forrester is looking for a new-business sales development specialist to fuel further expansion. This role is part of new-business sales and reports to the European Sales Development Manager. The Sales Development Specialist works with account executives to identify opportunities within named prospects, at the same time as learning from our sales team by participating within our tailored-made Forrester Foundations learning & development program. The Sales Development Specialist works within a tightly defined sales process to ensure a consistent and unified approach to selling Forrester services. This is a high-volume telephone and email contact environment that requires strong organizational capabilities, attention to detail, initiative, and a desire to work as part of a team. 

The Forrester Foundations Program is designed to allow you to learn sales, presentation & business acumen skills, amongst others, from the best in class at Forrester. You will follow the various modules of the program, & be formally assessed each step of the way, giving you the confidence to move on to the next stage in your career, safe in the knowledge that you have all the necessary skills, at the right level, to succeed. 


  • Achieve designated outbound call and email volumes to achieve meetings metrics.
  • Collaborate with account executives to sell/maintain relationships with technology marketing professionals, CMOs, CTOs, CIOs, B2C market research professionals, etc.  
  • Understand the goals, objectives, and business initiatives of a targeted set of companies and the specific C suite titles and organizational structure of those companies.
  • Perform name development and organizational mapping at targeted accounts.
  • Eloquently & succinctly outline the unique value proposition of Forrester, to prospects via the phone, creating sufficient interest to secure an introductory meeting with a Forrester account executive.
  • Develop an understanding of clients’ business issues and how to articulate the value proposition of Forrester.
  • Understand the changing business and technology issues facing our client and prospect base. Ensure all CRM account, contact & task records are up to date at any given time.  



  • B.S. or B.A. or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent in German & excellent English language skills.
  • Proven direct sales/client management success in client management or consultative selling.
  • Effective organization and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, in both English & German.
  • Strong telephone and interpersonal skills.
