About This Role: 

The Research Associate works directly with a global team of analysts who create primary research to serve the specific needs of Digital Business Strategy Professionals across the world. 

Digital Business Strategy Professionals are responsible for the strategy and operations of their firms’ digital sales and service channels. This Research Associate will work with a team of analysts who primarily work with Digital Business Strategy Professionals at retail financial services firms such as banks, wealth management firms, and insurance companies.

Responsibilities

The Research Associate will support a team of analysts to create rigorous and thought-provoking research for Forrester clients. He or she will:

  • Conduct primary and secondary research for published reports, including arranging and conducting interviews with digital business strategy executives and financial technology (fintech) companies, designing and fielding online surveys, reviewing industry sources and assessing companies’ digital strategies.
  • Maintain and contribute to the team’s database of fintech firms.
  • Manage the research production process, from inception through publication.
  • Assist in the building of analytical models, maturity models, and self-assessment tools.
  • Create graphics for reports and presentations to convey both conceptual analysis and quantitative findings.
  • Help build presentations for Forrester events, consulting, conferences, webinars, etc.
  • Learn and be responsible for some quantitative work with Forrester’s Technographics market research data.
  • Help Forrester’s sales force understand published research and suggest relevant research for existing and potential clients.

Qualifications

  • A strong record of academic achievement: B.A. or B.Sc. minimum.
  • One to two years of varied undergraduate or postgraduate work experience.
  • An excellent command of the English language in speech and writing. Fluency in one or more other major European languages particularly German, French, Spanish or Italian would be a significant advantage.
  • Intellectual curiosity about consumer behavior, business and technology, and particularly the impact of technology on retail financial services and how firms serve customers across touchpoints.
  • Excellent listening, critical thinking, and writing skills.
  • Numeracy and attention to detail. You will be organized and able to prioritize and deliver reports on schedule.
  • Interest in conveying ideas in graphical formats – charts, infographics, and conceptual graphics.
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to work in teams and help other team members succeed.
  • Experience using business software, including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software.
