About this Role:

As Customer Experience Senior Advisor for Forrester Research, you’ll have the opportunity to guide and influence business decisions of strategic importance to Forrester’s client companies. Our Senior advisors speak the language of marketing and strategy and use their deep understanding of both Forrester’s peer network and how business works to design the moments where leaders inspire leaders. Strong candidates are high performers with over five to seven years of related work experience.


The Customer Experience Council is a powerful decision-making tool that gives senior executives an edge. Customer experience is a huge growth area, and Forrester is at the very heart of this growth in the age of the customer. Our Customer Experience Senior Advisors enable our council members to harness the insights and experience of their peers for validation and best practices and deliver the best of Forrester’s forward-looking research. We help customer experience leaders anticipate what’s next, why, and how to best build and deliver on their strategy.


  • Build sustained, trusted relationships with your personal book of Customer Experience Council members through your ongoing guidance and support of their key initiatives. 
  • Facilitate provocative exchanges among senior business leaders in customer experience that enable them to challenge thinking and lead change within their organizations.
  • Deliver in-person client experiences that inspire our members.
  • Influence customer experience leaders’ most important decisions by providing the right resources at the right time, in the context of your in-depth understanding of their business. 
  • Work in multiple industries and across marketing and strategy disciplines to build client knowledge and credibility quickly.
  • Enhance and leverage your customer experience subject matter expertise through learning from Forrester’s customer experience and associated material and from interactions with your CX Council members, your fellow advisors, and our Forrester analyst community.
  • Fuel the growth of the Customer Experience Council by engaging in business development support with our partners in the sales channel. 
  • Be an inspiring member of our highly effective and closely collaborative Customer Experience Advisor team in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.


  • Five to seven years of customer experience practitioner, client-facing, or consulting experience. 
  • A preference is given to candidates with financial services client experience.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Excellent formal presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Experience coaching, guiding, and influencing senior business executives.
  • The ability to apply a structured approach to identifying, analyzing, and framing executive challenges.
  • Fluency with key challenges and opportunities facing customer experience professionals.
  • Impeccable process, project management, and time management skills.
  • The willingness to travel. 
  • A B.A. or B.S. degree with a strong academic record; an MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
