About the Role

Forrester is looking for an experienced, energetic and collaborative Public Relations Manager to be a key player on Forrester's corporate communications team. The position collaborats on - and exectues - the public relations (PR) strategy in a way that supports Forrester's major strategic objectives. This individual reports to the director PR, content, and social.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Forrester’s public relations strategy in Europe, helping to promote Forrester’s products, services, and general thought leadership as well as the Forrester brand.
  • Be a strategic advisor on PR issues to business executives. Collaborate with the director of marketing on integrated marketing efforts.
  • Manage agency relationships in Europe to drive share-of-voice gains, thought leadership, and speaker placement; ensure that the strategy ladders up to the global PR strategy.
  • Develop and manage a proactive media relations program that includes influential business, technology, and marketing media across Europe.
  • Develop and manage relationships with influential industry associations.
  • Manage PR activities around Forrester Events in Europe.
  • Secure speaking slots for Forrester analysts and executives at industry conferences.
  • Communicate PR activities to executives, including the use of available PR metrics and measurement tools.
  • Contribute to ongoing innovation by the corporate communications team, including sharing and implementing best practices and leveraging new ideas.

Qualifications

  • Seven to 10 years of public relations experience (preferred).
  • A B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent in communications, PR, marketing, business, journalism, or a related field.
  • A proven track record of innovative program development for media and influencer relations, social media, speaker placement, and industry associations.
  • Demonstrated success working with senior executives in making strategic business decisions.
  • Strong traditional and social media contacts, relationships, and successes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; someone who is comfortable communicating via key social channels.
  • An exceptional ability to execute as an individual contributor and self-starter as well as collaborate successfully as part of a global team.
  • Someone who has the right balance of quality and quickness, works hard, and has a sense of humor.
  • The ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize, be detail-oriented, meet deadlines, and work intelligently.
