About This Role:


Based out of New Delhi, the Researcher is a critical member of Forrester’s research team that creates, publishes, and delivers research and consulting services to help leaders with their most critical initiatives. We call these key initiatives playbooks; they follow a prescriptive and consistent approach to help marketing and strategy professionals discover, plan, act, and optimize


The Researcher plays a key role for the team in delivering our playbook research, client advisory and consulting, as well as our team’s events and coordination of internal resources. Specific responsibilities include supporting team initiatives and processes, such as survey management, event coordination, and social and community management; and working with the analysts to produce high-quality reports, presentations, and client advisory across our playbooks. The Researcher also supports the analysts in the report creation workflow taking it through the publication process.


The Researcher is self-motivated and manages his or her own schedule, prioritizes the needs of the team, performs quality survey data analysis, produces powerful presentations, and creates coherent written arguments. Qualified candidates display a strong interest in our playbook content.


  • Assist analysts in conducting research, analyzing findings, and producing reports and presentations.
  • Design and conduct interviews and surveys to gain insight into practices and priorities of marketing and strategy professionals.
  • Participate in vendor briefings, client inquiries, webinars, and industry events to help the team stay on top of industry trends and best practices.
  • Help the research team interface with Forrester sales, marketing, and editorial teams.

  • A strong track record of academic achievement — a bachelor’s degree as a minimum.
  • Experience in e-business, multi-channel commerce, or work in consulting around ecommerce for a technology or business vendor that serves ebusiness (ecommerce etc) professionals.
  • An understanding of software development, technologies, and tactics such as web and mobile development tools or platforms, testing practices and tools, and Agile practices, or web design software would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite.
  • A strong track record of report writing and an excellent command of the English language.
  • Ability to work with a team under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to talk to senior leaders in the customer and partner organizations.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to come up with compelling slides on an idea.
  • Ability to work independently without day-to-day supervision and as part of a global research team.
  • Someone who is analytical, articulate, organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed to business events and meetings.
