About This Role:

The Senior Data Client Associate provides structured and customized data deliverables for internal clients of Forrester Data’s Consumer and Business Technographics® — a set of global surveys of consumers and their relationship with technology. The Senior Data Client Associate is responsible for generating customized variables and cross-tabs using a statistical software package (MarketSight). Other tasks involve creating predetermined infographics and charts.
Through this role, the Senior Data Client Associate will expand his/her knowledge of cross-tabbing, data analysis, and internal client service.


  • Respond to internal client requests for specific data cross-tabs.
  • Format data results in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Manipulate and analyze data through statistical packages like MarketSight to help address business questions.
  • Send results to internal clients within a specified time, explaining (in English) any inconsistencies in or caveats around the data.
  • Take the utmost care with the quality of data analysis.
  • Gain an understanding of what data we capture in 60 different surveys fielded globally, our vast data coverage, and its usage and limitations.Assist in the training of new hires.

  • A track record of academic achievement; at a minimum a B.A./B.S. degree, with some coursework in statistics, mathematics, or business/marketing.
  • At least three years of experience working with survey data.
  • Excellent English comprehension and writing skills.
  • Good spoken English.
  • A strong quantitative aptitude.
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MarketSight (optional), and a statistical package like SPSS or SAS.
  • Intellectual curiosity about consumers’ and businesses’ use of technology.
